Your Accreditor

Why?

Now that cyber and IA are such high priority, the decisions made by Security Controllers are under ever more scrutiny – from both Government (looking for secure systems) and the business (looking for cost effective solutions). Without the experience, knowledge and training in IA it’s difficult for a Security Controller can make a considered and balanced decision between cost, risk and benefit – too much and it costs money; too little and it causes project delays.

If your Security Controller doesn’t have an IA or accreditation background we can support them through the process. Our trained, experienced accreditors will work at their side, protecting your project from risk and supplementing their knowledge.

What?

Several Ascentor consultants have previously been Accreditors for Government departments. These consultants know the accreditation process inside out and can work with you in a number of ways:

Our consultants can help your Security Controller make good accreditation decisions by providing mentoring, training and a sanity check.
Alternatively, engage us to be your Accreditor. We’ll use our experience to judge if the residual risks are worth the business benefit.

How?

The founding Directors of Ascentor were Accreditors for a large Government department. Since our inception we have recruited additional consultants with accreditation experience and have trained our own staff in the subtle art of accreditation.

Accreditation is a science and an art. At Ascentor we have an absolute understanding of the accreditation process and the associated difficulties that companies face when supplying to Government (we are one ourselves). We provide Accreditors to several Government organisations and have a strong reputation in this field.
